The Finnish telecomms systems provider Nokia has introduced three new mobile phones and three new Bluetooth accessories.
The phones include the Nokia 7650, the first product in the company's new imaging category. Posing a challenge to Sony Ericsson's T68 model, the Nokia 7650 features an in-built digital camera, multimedia messaging functionality, an enhanced user interface and a large colour display. The phone will also allow for fast Internet access through GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) technology.
The second new phone is the Nokia 5210, which has been specifically designed for people with active lifestyles. Features include high durability, a thermometer, a digital clock and a new removable shell design. Finally the third phone, the Nokia 6510, belongs in Nokia's classic category and it comes with a mobile wallet and a set of features to make it suitable for business users.
The new Bluetooth accessories include the Nokia Wireless Headset, the Nokia Wireless Car Kit and the Nokia Connectivity Card, which all aim to provide users with cable-free connectivity to their mobile phones.
Deliveries of the Nokia 7650 will begin in Europe and Asia in the second quarter of next year while the two other phones and the Bluetooth accessories will all ship in the first quarter of 2002. Pricing details were not revealed.
